👉 EdSurge wrote an interesting article on “How AI Can Help Educators Test Whether Their Teaching Materials Work”. What if educators could use the same strategy such as companies like Amazon and Facebook, to see how users interact with their apps to make the user experience easier. In the article, EdSurge will deep dive into this topic.
👉 Common Sense, says it will build a new rating system that will assess AI products across a number of dimensions, including whether the tech takes advantage of “responsible AI practices” as well as its suitability for children. The new AI product reviews will particularly focus on those that are used by kids and educators.

Together with 12 inspiring women from 11 European countries, Henny is selected for the Female EdTech Fellowship. She will spend the coming 6 months, learning from each other and reaching new heights together.

📣 MemoryLab secured €575k investment to advance Global Expansion
MemoryLab, one of our new community members was able to secure a €575.000 investment from RUG Ventures and G-Force, which will be used to fund international expansion, which further strenghtens their strategy of becoming a global leader in the field of Artificial Intelligence- based adaptive learning technologies.
Dutch EdTech congratulates MemoryLab and its founders Hedderik van Rijn and Hilco Boerlage with securing this investment!

📣 Studyportals CEO appointed as Director of the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities
Edwin van der Rest, CEO of our member Studyportals, is appointed Director of the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities. To be appointed, a strict nomination and selection process is followed and are for life. The society only has approx. 500 global ‘members’ and approx. 400 ‘directors’ (non-academic members with notable societal impact). Past members include Marie Curie, President John Adams and Albert Einstein, among other Nobel Prize laureates, and leaders of large societal impact. What a honarable function for Edwin!
We would like to congratulate Edwin with his new title and wish him all the best in fulfilling this function.
📣 Ronald Kouvelt appointed COO for FeedbackFruits
Ronald Kouvelt, ex-CEO and founder of StuComm, is appointed as COO for FeedbackFruits.
CEO of FeedbackFruits, Ewoud Kok says: “Ronald and I started at the same time as CEO’s in higher education, with a mutual goal to help institutions with chances brought by digitalization.” Ewoud and Ronald will now combine their forces and continue within Feedback Fruits.

📣 How learning design and service design drive value within organisations | Video by Made forcx
Made forcx, published a video of an upcoming education panel which investigate the topic “In service of learning: how learning design and service design drive value in organisations”. The panel exists of the Managing Director Agnese Spona, Service Design Leader and Educator Clara Llamas, and Tony Reeves, Founder and Managing Director of Ding.
The panel provided an open discussion between these three industry experts on how learning design and service design can combine and intersect to drive inherent value within organisations to the benefit of employees and customers alike.
