👉 School Innovation Forum Discussions on Good Practices of EdTech Use
Over the past decade, ambitious national plans have aimed to integrate technology into schools, but what has been the impact?
To explore this, over 150 European education leaders met at the fifth School Innovation Forum, organized by European Schoolnet, the Luxembourg Ministry of Education, and EmpowerED. During the discussion on good practices, Dutch EdTech member Springlab was highlighted as a good example for their innovative approach. Springlab incorporates a 'moving floor' system where students engage in solving math problems through physical movement, effectively combining learning with active exercise. We look forward to bringing more Dutch EdTech innovations that lead to #betterlearning into the spotlight!
👉 State of AI VC Funding, The Netherlands Takes 4th Place
Dealroom and Roosh launched a new European AI report, highlighting European AI startups, funding and growth. AI in education is highlighted as a high risk area by the EU AI Act, presenting new regulatory challenges for EdTech. When it comes to European AI funding insights, AI now accounts for 18% of funding share, a record number for Europe. The UK, France and Germany are dominating AI investing in Europe, with the Netherlands taking 4th place. We look forward to exploring the use of AI in EdTech further in the upcoming Dutch EdTech report. Read more here.
👉 HolonIQ List of Promising EdTech Startups

🥂 Recap Community Event, 11th of June | Amsterdam
We had such a great time at our Community Event on June 11th, where Dutch EdTech founders and innovators from across the Netherlands came together for an evening of drinks, learning, and networking.
We kicked it off with a keynote from our hosts at Dutch EdTech, giving an update on what’s coming next for the Dutch EdTech community. The floor was then given to our speaker Dimitrios Vlachopoulos (RSM Erasmus University), who shared an incredible discussion with us on the importance of evidence-based innovation in EdTech, and the future of sustainable innovation. After a lively Q&A session, our members spread around the room to engage in some fun networking over drinks and snacks. Looking forward to the next community event!
