There will be 1 billion extra for tackling inequality of opportunity, 1 billion for improving the quality of education and also another 800 million for good teachers, school leaders and educational support staff. A further 1 billion euros has also been set aside for better compensation for students who 'were not entitled to the basic grant'."Most people agree that the teacher shortage should not become a taboo subject.
