Dear members and friends of Dutch Edtech, Awesome news: From January 2023 onwards, The Dutch School and Dutch Edtech will join forces under the Dutch Edtech brand and continue as one. Building one strong EdTech community in the Netherlands. Together we will have the power to:Unite the community and create one voice towards policymakers;Put you as a member and edtech enthusiast on an international stage;Attract talent and funding;Share insights and network. There are also a few changes. The most important is that we will work more founder centric. With over 100 members, the foundation has to focus on valuable interactions. Let’s talk about the new organisationTo start with the sad news. Our highly appreciated MD, Annet Kloprogge will leave the foundation. We are very, very grateful for the hard work she has put in this first start-up phase and would like to invite you to the upcoming Community Event on the 29th of November for a last toast. Annet: From the very beginning, during the founding of Dutch Edtech until now, I’ve appreciated each and every conversation with you. To learn about your challenges and opportunities and be able to assist in further development, is such a blessing. The next phase for Dutch Edtech is one of stabilization and long-term vision, and we’ll do our best to find a powerhouse replacement that will fulfil those needs. I won’t be far and will keep cheering you on any occasion. The Dutch Edtech board will also see some changes. Co-founder Peter van Sabben will take a step back and continue as an advisor to the board. Ewoud de Kok will join the board as the new chairman and Linda Frietman (the Dutch School co-founder) will be added as the fourth board member. Ewoud: Dutch Education belongs to the international top. The Dutch Edtech community has the same potential. I’m looking forward to supporting our members on the international stage by getting our community recognized as a key pillar for our Dutch educational sector and workforce. Linda: One national organization to help the Dutch Edtech ecosystem thrive and to help position and expand the Dutch edtech community across borders. The board will be a combination of the two foundations:Ewoud de Kok - chairmanRoel Bellinga - secretaryRuben Nieuwenhuis - treasurerLinda Frietman - board member from TDS (per January 1st, 2023)In the upcoming two months we will announce the agenda/calendar for 2023 with deep dives, founder dinners and new trade missions and an even bigger trip to the BETT. For now, please help us build this new team by forwarding this ‘Project Lead’ vacancy announcement to everyone you think is the best fit for the foundation.
